Indications and Dosage

Oral
Smooth muscle spasms

Adult: 20-40 mg 3-4 times daily. Max: 200 mg/day.

Parenteral
Smooth muscle spasms

Adult: IV/IM: 40-80 mg daily. Max: 200 mg/day.

Action

Description: Caroverine is a smooth muscle relaxant with calcium-channel blocking and glutamate-antagonist properties. It is used in conditions associated with painful smooth muscle spasm, cerebral circulatory disorders and tinnitus.
