Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients receiving repeated blood transfusions, haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis, thalassemia; sideroblastic anaemia, chronic haemolysis; lead induced anaemia.

Adverse Reactions
GI discomfort, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, epigastric pain, black stools.
Drug Interactions
Mutual diminished absorption w/ tetracyclines. Decreased absorption w/ antacids. Reduces effects of penicillamine.
