Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhino-conjunctivitis (seasonal & perennial) & urticaria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult including elderly & adolescent ≥12 yr 1 tab once daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after eating/drinking. May break tab along score line for easier swallowing but not to divide it into equal doses. Avoid taking w/ grapefruit juice/any other fruit juices.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Avoid concomitant intake w/ P-glycoprotein inhibitors in patients w/ moderate or severe renal impairment. May cause drowsiness which may affect ability to drive or use machines. Avoid use during pregnancy. Not recommended during breastfeeding. Childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, drowsiness.
Drug Interactions
Decreased bioavailability w/ grapefruit juice & possibly w/ other fruit juices. Plasma conc may be decreased by OATP1A2 substrates or inhibitors (eg, ritonavir or rifampicin) or increased by P-glycoprotein substrates or inhibitors (eg, cyclosporine). Increased AUC & Cmax w/ ketoconazole or erythromycin. Increased Cmax w/ diltiazem.
