Description
Each 0.6 ml contains: Vitamin A BP (as Palmitate) 3000 IU, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Nitrate BP) 2 mg, Vitamin B2 (Riboflavine Sodium Phosphate BP equivalent to Riboflavine) 1 mg, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride BP) 1 mg, Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid BP) 40 mg, Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol BP) 400 IU, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate BP) 5 mg, Nicotinamide BP 10 mg, Dex - Panthenol BP 3 mg, Flavoured Aqueous Base q.s.
(Appropriate overages of Vitamins added to compensate for loss on storage).

Action
Pharmacology: Vitamins are organic compounds required for the normal growth and maintenance of life by humans. Their functions fall into two categories, the maintenance of normal structure and normal metabolic functions. All vitamins cannot be synthesised in the tissues of humans and there is no one natural source which contains all the vitamins in the proportion that are needed for human nutrition. Hence, to meet the nutritional requirements for normal growth and development and maintenance of good health, vitamin supplementation is necessary. Betex Vitamin Drop provides both water-soluble and oil-soluble vitamins in an aqueous form thus ensuring better absorption of oil-soluble vitamins.
Indications/Uses
Betex Vitamin Drops is indicated for the treatment of the vitamin deficiency state. Vitamin E provides in the drops is particularly useful in the treatment of premature or low birth weight infants.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Betex Vitamin Drops: In Infants is 0.3 ml once a day initially, which can be increased upto 0.6 ml once a day.
Contraindications
Betex Vitamin Drops is contraindicated if hypersensitivity to any of the vitamins is observed or if there is a preexisting hypervitaminosis.
Side Effects
Allergic reaction has been known to occur following administration of thiamine.

There are no known drug interactions of any drug with Betex Vitamin Drops.
