Indications/Uses
Bacterial conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis & surgical prophylaxis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Bacterial conjunctivitis & blepharitis Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) tds for 7 days. Keratitis Instill higher doses in the affected eye(s) as needed or directed by the physician. Surgical prophylaxis Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) every 10 min. Total dose: 4. Begin 1 hr before cataract surgery.
Special Precautions
For topical ophth use only. Not for subconjunctival inj. Do not introduce directly into the anterior chamber of the eye. May result to overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms w/ prolonged use. Avoid wearing contact lenses in patients w/ signs & symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <1 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Conjunctival redness. Blurred vision, eye irritation, pain & pruritus, & headache.
