Indications and Dosage
Oral
Peripheral and cerebral vascular disorders
Adult: 100-200 mg tid.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Severe hepatic, renal and decompensated cardiac insufficiency; recent MI; atrioventricular (AV) block; recent apoplexy (until the 3rd day); severe circulatory collapse; simultaneous therapy with β-blockers.
Special Precautions
Patients susceptible to cerebral seizures; residual urine formation due to prostatic hypertrophy.
Adverse Reactions
GI effects.
Drug Interactions
May potentiate action of antihypertensives; nitrates; α-blockers; tricyclic psychotropic drugs.
Action
Description: Bencyclane causes dilatation of blood vessels.
