Description
Each 15 ml Contains: L-Leucine USP 18.3 mg, L-Isoleucine USP 5.9 mg, L-Lysine HCl USP 25 mg, L-Phenylalanine USP 5 mg, L-Threonine USP 4.2 mg, L-Methionine USP 9.2 mg, L-Tryptophan USP 5 mg, L-Valine USP 6.7 mg, Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) BP 5 mg, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) (as Riboflavin Sodium Phosphate BP) 3 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) BP 1.5 mg, Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) BP 25 mg, Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5) BP 5 mg, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) BP 2.5 mcg, Folic Acid BP 0.75 mg, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) BP 40 mg, Synthetic Retinol Concentrate (oil form) (Vitamin A) BP 2500 IU, Colecalciferol (Vitamin D3) BP 200 IU, all-rac-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) BP 7.5 IU.
Appropriate overages of Vitamins added to compensate loss on storage.

Action
Pharmacology: Amino Acids are the basic building blocks of proteins and enzymes and are essential for normal healthy bodily function especially during growth and convalescence. The essential amino acids cannot be made in the body and must be included in the diet or as a supplement.
Aminomin is used as a supplement in the treatment of conditions associated with deficiency of certain vitamins and amino acids, such as severe infections, degenerative diseases, endocrine dysfunction, surgical procedures, injuries, burns, old age, beri-beri, riboflavinosis or pellagra, Dietary management of urea cycle disorders & nutritional supplementation.
Indications/Uses
Aminomin is indicated in treatment of: Inadequate Dietary Intake.
Increased utilization of Micro nutrients (Fever, Infection, Trauma, cancer, critically ill patients, recovery from malnutrition).
An inborn error in leucine metabolism can lead to 'maple syrup urine disease'. This is generally seen in infants and result in retardation.
Increased loss e.g diarrhea, burns, blood loss.
For enhancement of host defense during convalescence from surgery or chronic debilitating conditions.
For Acceleration of wound healing.
Dosage/Direction for Use
15 ml (One Tablespoonful) twice a day or as directed by the physician.
Contraindications
Aminomin is contra-indicated in patients known to be hypersensitive to any of its components and in patients with hypervitaminosis.
Warnings
Aminomin is not intended for the treatment of pernicious anaemia since neurologic involvement may develop or progress despite temporary remission of anaemia in patients with vitamin B12.
Special Precautions
Aminomin is not recommended for the treatment of severe deficiencies of vitamins. In such cases the underlying cause should be determined and corrected if possible.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
Problems in human have not been reported with intake of the normal daily recommended amounts.
Side Effects
Adverse effects are rare. But can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes and gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea or constipation.
Drug Interactions
Many Drugs have been reported to interact with vitamins. Most of the interactions indicate that many drugs render different vitamins ineffective by interfering with their absorption, by stimulating their metabolism or by increasing the rate of their excretion. For example, clofibrate a drug used in heart trouble decreases the absorption of Vitamin B12.
Storage
Store below 30°C. Protect from light.
Shake well before use.
