Contents
Per 5 mL Brompheniramine maleate 4 mg, phenylephrine HCl 10 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of nasal congestion due to cough & cold allergic conditions, mainly rhinitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1 tsp 4-6 hrly. Childn 6-12 yr ½ tsp 4-6 hrly.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
DM, severe ischemic heart disease, prostatic hyperplasia. Patients w/ epilepsy, severe hyperthyroidism. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Renal or hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Sedation, impaired performance, anxiety, hallucinations, eyes, mouth & nose dryness, blurred vision.
Drug Interactions
Prolonged action by MAOIs. Potentiated effects of other CNS depressants. TCAs.
