Terazosin HCl
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). HTN.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially 1 mg at bedtime. BPH 5-10 mg once daily. HTN 1-5 mg once daily, up to 20 mg daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Rule out presence of prostatic cancer prior to treatment. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Asthenia, postural hypotension, dizziness, somnolence, nasal congestion/rhinitis, impotence, blurred vision, nausea, peripheral edema, palpitations.
