Inhibition of intraoperative miosis
Adult: As a 1% solution: Instil 2 drops every 4 hr during the day before surgery, then 2 drops 3 hr, 2 hr then 1 hr before surgery.

Contraindications
Active herpes simplex keratitis.

Adverse Reactions
Eye discomfort, itching, redness, iritis, pain, chemosis, photophobia, hypersensitivity, punctate epithelial staining (rare).

Drug Interactions
Concurrent use inactivates actions of acetylcholine and carbachol ophthalmic preparations.
