Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of urge incontinence &/or increased urinary frequency & urgency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 tab bd. Severe renal impairment (CrCl between 10 & 30 mL/min/1.73 m2) 1 tab daily or every 2nd day.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications
Urinary retention, severe GI condition (eg, toxic megacolon), myasthenia gravis, narrow-angle glaucoma & tachyarrhythmia. Patients w/ wheat allergy. Galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption, fructose intolerance, sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency. Childn <12 yr.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ obstructive GIT conditions eg, pyloric stenosis, obstruction of urinary flow w/ risk of urinary retention formation, autonomic neuropathy, hiatus hernia associated w/ reflux oesophagitis, in whom fast heart rates are undesirable (eg, hyperthyroidism, CAD & CHF). Hepatic & renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth, dyspepsia, constipation, abdominal pain, nausea.
Drug Interactions
Amantadine. TCAs, β-sympathomimetics, metoclopramide, guar, cholestyramine & colestipol.
