Contents
Per spray Olopatadine HCl 600 mcg, mometasone furoate 25 mcg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis & associated ocular symptoms in adults & childn ≥6 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & adolescent ≥12 yr 2 sprays in each nostril bd. Childn 6-11 yr 1 spray in each nostril bd.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Untreated fungal, bacterial or TB resp tract infections.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if localized nose or pharynx fungal infection develops; persistent nasopharyngeal irritation occurs. Not to be used in presence of untreated localized infection involving nasal mucosa; recent nasal surgery/trauma. Adrenal insufficiency, reversible hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression. Epistaxis; nasal ulceration & septal perforation; increased IOP; visual disturbances eg, cataract, glaucoma or central serous chorioretinopathy. Immunosuppressed patients; transferring from systemic corticosteroid treatment. Long-term use. Avoid contact w/ eyes or mouth. May affect ability to drive & operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <6 yr; monitor growth velocity reduction in childn.
Adverse Reactions
Dysgeusia; epistaxis, nasal discomfort.
Drug Interactions
Increased risk of systemic side effects w/ CYP3A inhibitors eg, ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin, atazanavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir, ritonavir, cobicistat-containing products. Reduced alertness & additional CNS impairment w/ alcohol or other CNS depressants.
