Orphenadine citrate 35 mg, paracetamol 450 mg
Indications/Uses
Tension headache, occipital headache associated w/ skeletal muscle spasm in head & neck region. Acute & traumatic limb & trunk conditions eg, sprains, strains, whiplash injuries, acute torticollis, prolapsed intervertebral disc.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals if GI discomfort occurs.
Contraindications
Glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, bladder neck obstruction, myasthenia gravis.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if severe skin reactions occur. Tachycardia, cardiac decompensation, coronary insufficiency or cardiac arrhythmia. Periodic monitoring of blood, urine & liver function during prolonged use. Not to be used concomitantly w/ other paracetamol-containing drugs. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Haematological reactions; skin rashes, other hypersensitivity reactions eg, skin rashes, angioedema, SJS, TEN; mouth dryness, tachycardia, palpitation, urinary hesitancy or retention, blurred vision, pupil dilation, increased ocular tension, weakness, nausea, headache, dizziness, constipation, drowsiness.
Drug Interactions
Enhanced effects by drugs w/ antimuscarinic properties eg, amantadine, some antihistamines, butyrophenones, phenothiazines, TCAs.
