Orphenadrine citrate
Indications/Uses
Relief of painful muscle spasm associated w/ fibrositis, whiplash injuries, torticollis, prolapsed intervertebral disc, strains, sprains & similar conditions. Tension headache & persistent hiccough.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 tab bd. Severe cases May be increased to 300 mg in any 24-hr period.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals if GI upset occurs.
Contraindications
Glaucoma; prostatic hypertrophy or bladder neck obstruction; myasthenia gravis.
Special Precautions
Tachycardia, cardiac decompensation, coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias. Periodic monitoring of blood, urine & liver function in continuous long-term therapy. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea; dry mouth; blurred vision.
Drug Interactions
Amantadine, antihistamines, butyrophenones, phenothiazines, TCAs.
