Tab Adult & childn >10 yr 325-650 mg 4-6 times daily as necessary. Childn 6-12 yr 150-300 mg qds, 3-6 yr 120 mg qds, 1-3 yr 60-120 mg qds, <1 yr 15-60 mg qds. Max: Not to exceed >8 tab daily. InfusionPatient >50 kg w/ additional risk factors for hepatotoxicity 1 g. Max: 3 g daily, >50 kg w/o additional risk factors for hepatotoxicity 1 g. Max: 4 g daily, >33 kg to <50 kg 15 mg/kg. Max: 60 mg/kg, not to exceed 2 g daily, <10 kg 7.5 mg/kg. Max: 30 mg/kg daily. Severe renal impairment (CrCl ≤30 mL/min) Increased interval between each administration to 6 hr. Hepatocellular insufficiency, chronic alcoholism or malnutrition, dehydration Max: Not to exceed 3 g.
Discontinue use if severe skin reactions occur. Patients w/ alcohol dependence or malnourished. Not to be taken w/ other paracetamol-containing products. Renal or hepatic impairment. Infusion: Hypersensitivity to bisulphites. Dehydration.
Concomitant use of warfarin. Infusion: Reduced clearance w/ probenecid. Prolonged elimination t½ by salicylamide. Concomitant use w/ enzyme-inducing substances.
