Contents
Per 5 mL Na alginate 250 mg, dried Al hydroxide 100 mg, Ca carbonate 75 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of GERD eg, acid regurgitation, heartburn & indigestion.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 10-20 mL after meals & at bedtime, up to qds.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Not recommended in childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Constipation, intestinal obstruction (large doses), phosphate depletion w/ increased bone resorption & hypercalciuria w/ osteomalacia.
Drug Interactions
Administer 2-3 hr apart w/ other drugs to minimize altered gastric pH & emptying, direct adsorption & formation of unabsorbed complexes.
