Primary dysmenorrhea & relief of moderate pain when therapy will not exceed 1 wk.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Acute painAdult & childn >14 yr 500 mg tds, usually not to exceed 1 wk. Primary dysmenorrhoea 500 mg tds, starting w/ onset of bleeding & associated symptoms. Dose regimen should not exceed >7 days at a time.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Preferably taken w/ food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Bronchospasm, allergic rhinitis or urticaria; active ulceration or upper/lower GIT chronic inflammation. Preexisting renal disease, renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
CV disease or risk, HTN, fluid retention or heart failure, severe skin reactions. History of GI events & risk factors associated w/ PUD eg, alcoholism, smoking & corticosteroid therapy. Renal impairment or history of kidney or liver disease. Childn <14 yr.
Adverse Reactions
GI upsets or rashes; haemolytic anaemia, agranulocytosis, pancytopenia, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura & bone marrow aplasia; diarrhea.
