Per 1.5 mL dose Vibrio cholerae O1 Inaba Cairo 48 (heat inactivated), Vibrio cholerae O1 Inaba Phil 6973 El Tor (formalin inactivated), Vibrio cholerae O1 Ogawa Cairo 50 (formalin/heat inactivated), Vibrio cholerae O139 4260 B (formalin inactivated)
Indications/Uses
Active immunization against Vibrio cholerae for patients >1 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to vaccine or following previous inj. Delay vaccination in presence of acute illness eg, acute GI or febrile illness.
Special Precautions
Not to be administered IM, SC or IV. Known hypersensitivity to formaldehyde. Monitor patients at least 30 min after vaccination in case of rare anaphylactic reactions. Patients w/ HIV or AIDS. Not recommended during pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended in infants <1 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, myalgia.
