Indications and Dosage
Oral
Mental deterioration associated with cerebrovascular insufficiency, Peripheral vascular disease
Adult: 3-6 mg/day in divided doses.
Special Precautions
Severe bradycardia.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances, flushing, headache, rash, nasal congestion, dizziness and postural hypotension in hypertensive patients.

Mechanism of Action: Dihydroergocristine is a natural ergot alkaloid which is used in the symptomatic treatment of mental deterioration associated with cerebrovascular insufficiency and in peripheral vascular disease.
