Adapalene
Indications/Uses
Cutaneous treatment of acne vulgaris where comedones, papules & pustules predominate. Face acne, chest or back acne.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thinly to dry affected areas once daily before retiring & after washing.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Pregnancy or women planning pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if severe irritation occurs. Not to be used in severe acne. Avoid contact w/ eyes, mouth, nose angles & mucous membranes; excessive exposure to sunlight or UV irradiation. Not to be applied to broken (cuts or abrasions), eczematous or sunburned skin. Lactation. Neonates & young childn. Cream: Not to be used during 1st trimester of pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Dry skin, skin irritation & burning sensation, erythema.
Drug Interactions
Not to be used concurrently w/ other retinoids or drugs w/ similar action. Additive irritant effects w/ peeling agents, astringents or irritant products.
