Clobetasol propionate
Indications/Uses
Psoriasis, recalcitrant eczemas, lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus & other condition which do not respond satisfactorily to less active steroids.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Rosacea, acne & perioral dermatitis. Primary cutaneous viral infections (eg, herpes simplex, chickenpox).
Special Precautions
Use of appropriate therapy whenever secondary infection occurs. Prolonged use may cause atrophic changes & adrenal suppression. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Not to be used extensively during pregnancy. Not to be used w/ occlusion & limit use to 5 days in childn or on face.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity. Local atrophic skin changes; hypercorticism.
