Description:
Mechanism of Action: Clevudine is a L-thymidine analogue that is a substrate for 3 intracellular enzymes, namely, cytoslic thymidine kinase, cytosolic deoxycytidine kinase and mitochondrial deoxypyrimidine kinase. It interferes with hepatitis B viral cell replication by inhibiting the activity of viral DNA polymerase and reverse transcriptase.
