Indications/Uses
Infections caused by susceptible organisms especially Staph eg, osteomyelitis, septicaemia, endocarditis, superinfected cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, skin & soft tissue infections, surgical & traumatic wound infections.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 2 tab tds. Skin & soft tissue infection 1 tab bd.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Hepatic impairment, biliary obstruction or disease. Monitor hepatic function periodically in patients on high or prolonged oral doses. Avoid use during 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Lactation. Premature, jaundiced, acidotic or seriously ill neonates.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances eg, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, anorexia; jaundice & change of liver function.
Drug Interactions
CYP450-metabolized drugs.
