Glucosamine sulfate

Indications/Uses

Adjunct therapy in OA.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Mild to moderate OA symptoms 1 tab bd for 6 wk. Severe OA symptoms Initially 1 tab tds for 8 wk, followed by 1 tab bd for 3-4 mth.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to shellfish.

Special Precautions

Diabetes. Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions

Peripheral oedema, tachycardia; drowsiness, headache, insomnia; GI disturbances; erythema, pruritus.
