Loratadine 5 mg, pseudoephedrine sulfate 120 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief of symptoms associated w/ allergic rhinitis & common cold eg, nasal congestion, sneezing, rhinorrhea, pruritus, lacrimation.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 1 tab bd.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush/split.
Contraindications
Narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, severe HTN, severe CAD & hyperthyroidism. Patients on MAOI therapy or w/in 10 days of discontinuing such treatment.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ glaucoma, stenosing peptic ulcer, pyloroduodenal obstruction, prostatic hypertrophy, bladder neck obstruction, CV disease, increased IOP, DM. Co-administration w/ digitalis. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, somnolence. Rarely, nervousness, dizziness, fatigue, GI disturbances, hypersensitivity reactions.
Drug Interactions
MAOIs, methyldopa, mecamylamine, reserpine, veratrum alkaloids, β-blockers, digitalis, antacids, kaolin.
