Contents
Desloratadine 2.5 mg, pseudoephedrine sulphate 120 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of nasal & non-nasal allergic rhinitis including nasal congestion in adults & childn ≥12 yr.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not chew/break/crush.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to adrenergic agents or loratadine. Narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, severe HTN & CAD, hyperthyroidism, history or increased risk of haemorrhagic stroke. Concomitant therapy w/ MAOI or w/in 14 days of discontinuing such treatment.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if severe skin reactions occur. History of seizures. HTN, DM, ischemic heart disease, increased IOP, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hypertrophy. CNS stimulation w/ convulsions or CV collapse w/ accompanying hypotension. Renal & hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended in childn <12 yr. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth; fatigue, headache; dizziness; anorexia; insomnia, nervousness, somnolence.
Drug Interactions
Reduced antihypertensive effects of β-adrenergic blockers, methyldopa, mecamylamine, reserpine, veratrum alkaloids. Increased ectopic pacemaker activity w/ digitalis.
